Peugeot comes to India with the perfect formula, its reentering into the Indian auto market. The company plans to produce mid-sized sedans for Indian car users. Peugeot car manufacturing company will be establishing new manufacturing facility in India. According to the source, the management of PSA Peugeot and Gujarat chief minister Mr. Narendra Modi, have come together and discussed about the new facility in Gujarat, the Gujarat government accepted Peugeot proposal and gave a permission for new plant in Gujarat.
The France based manufacturing industry is investing nearly 4000 Cr for their new plant. They are establishing new plant in the area of 600 acre site at the western India in Gujarat. The new facility will produce cutting edge vehicles, perform integrated body fitting, painting and assembly operations. They are estimating the plant capacity to produce 1,65,000 units per year and it will be increased further in future. The new plant will produce engine and gearboxes which are extremely technologically powerful.
The new plant is providing 5000 jobs for the people, the managing director has said that the plant will produce its first product in 2014.
