Most of the people love roses, with any color. Some people have few questions like how to prune roses. I’m not a rose expert but my friend knows everything about roses. Pruning is simple if you have an only one thought about pruning the roses. This helps in regenerating the plants, encourages new growth in every season.
The following are few basic pruning rules for all roses. Observe the cane in your hand about its color and texture because all roses don’t have green stems. Remove the dead wood on cane if any. Remove the weak, spindly canes from the centre of the plant and shortened remaining canes.
Make cut on above each bud eye and are located along with the length of the cane. Select a plump bud eye and make cut of one-fourth of an each above the bud eye. Bud eyes point is where the new growth occurs and by making a cut, makes it as main growing points.
Decide the size of the final pruned plant depending on your garden. Different roses have different pruning process.
