Australian Teenagers are Getting Addicted to Facebook Than Anything Else

Teenagers are getting addicted to facebook and allowing the remaining social networks to “take over” their lives. This means they are giving much importance to them than anything else and spending their time for nothing on these sites. This was not from any other survey or the research, these things were told by the psychologists to The Daily Telegraph. They shared their experiences which they are facing these days from the parents of the kids who are being addicted to facebook.

Parents are visiting the psychologists complaining that their kids are using facebook and spending most of their time over the internet. This shows the impact of these sites on the young brains. Psychologists have told the paper that they keep on receiving regular request for help from the parents whose teens are using facebook and that it is dramatically affecting their school work and sleep.

The psychologists have also mentioned that the curiosity in the teens to know whats going on around and with their friends is making them to get addicted to facebook. This makes them to watch the site day and night. They also added saying that limited usage and considering it as a part of daily work is acceptable, but when it interferes with the daily activities like education, living and other aspects then it would be an addiction.

They also had a strong opinion that having wireless internet is making it even more easier to access the net using phones or i pads and the homes with wireless network were mentioned as deadly. Finally they mentioned another interesting point saying that, girls are more likely to use facebook than boys, since they feel great and more interested when people responded to their posts and post comments for their photos.

This shows the need for the parents to update themselves with the latest technology so that they can be informed about how their kids are doing with their facebook accounts.
