Nobel Prize – The Greatest Award of World

No award is as honorable as the great Nobel Prize. Since 1901, it has encouraged and honored many men and women all over the world for their achievements irrespective of their background, location, religion, language. The credit goes to Alfred Nobel, the man with all his achievements as an author, pacifist, entrepreneur and most of all a scientist and inventor. He was the inventor the powerful and high explosive dynamite. To atone the evil done with his invention, he gave away 94% of his total assets to establish this great price in his will. The assets were worth 31 million Swedish Kronor, which equates to 186 million US dollars in present day. There are five Nobel prizes awarded every year for the people who made outstanding achievement in Peace, Physics, Literature, Medicine or Physiology and Chemistry. Prize in Economics is also commonly identified with them. All the awards are considered as the most prestigious awards one can receive for their achievement in their respective fields.

The Nobel prizes are awarded by a Swedish-Norwegian Union as Alfred Nobel was also a Swedish chemist.
