Nissan Plans to Open Third Plant in Mexico

Japanese car manufacturers Nissan motors plans to start new plant in Mexico, which is the third plant of Nissan in Mexico. Nissan motors will be investing around 2 billion dollars for the new plant. Nissan motors officially says, they are starting the construction of the new facility in summer and production will be started at the end of the next year.

The facility of taking the location in northern state of Aguascalientes, the capacity of the plant is to produce around 175,000 units per year. The new plant requires 3000 people for production and its provides 9,000 other jobs in Mexico. The plant to purely dedicated for producing the B-platform cars like Versa, March, Tiida etc. Nissan planned to produce 1 million vehicles in a year from Mexico.

Mexican president Mr. Felipe Celderon said, we have received one of the important automotive investment through Nissan motors.

Nissan motors plans to increase the market share, they are performed well for 2011 in US market with 1.56million vehicles with 7% market share. For 2011 Nissan was the top performer in Mexican auto market with 224,000 unit sales with 25% of market share.
