Nissan Plans to Hit the Indian Small Car Segment

Japanese car manufacturing company Nissan plans to enter into the Indian small car market. They are conducting the feasibility study on the small car segment in India. They are analyzing the small car performance in Indian auto market. They are planning to launch Sedan small cars into the Indian auto market to capture the small car segment.

Nissan thinks that Indian auto market has wonderful opportunities to small cars. The feasibility studies and analyzes of the market on small cars performance conducted by Nissan have stated that there is great demand for small cars in India.

Nissan’s small car sedan Sunny, is already competing with the existing small car brands Chevrolet Spark and Hyundai Santro. Nissan has last introduced its small car Micra in the last year and got a lower domestic sales response, it sold out 13,000 units this year which is more than last year sales of 12,000 units. The company has good expectation on the sedan Sunny performance for this fiscal year and they are expecting 40,000 units sales for this fiscal year.
