Learning new language is commonly associated with making mistakes, the same hold true while learning Spanish too. Don’t panic on seeing differences between your won language and Spanish. Instead try to acquire the language as and when you hear a native speaker speaking the language or by going through the real time usage of the language like in new channels, news papers, movies, radio, etc.
  • Don’t immediately refer a dictionary or glossary to know the meaning of the word you just heard. Instead try to first guess the meaning and then see if you are correct or not. This way you will learn Spanish more effectively by memorizing it better.
  • Don’t get confused with the false cognates. Be cautious in using them as their wrong usage may result in heavy blunders. Know the meaning of these cognates thoroughly before you use them.
  • Don’t always follow the same English structure while forming a sentence in Spanish, as the use of prepositions and placement of verb differ in Spanish when compared to English.
  • Prepositions are highly difficult to learn. Their placement in Spanish is to be understood well to learn the language properly.
  • As English needs a subject to understand, it involves high usage of pronouns, whereas in Spanish the subject is understood by the context and hence unnecessary usage of pronouns should be avoided.
  • Most of the learners do not concentrate of the pronunciation. With out the right pronunciation, a language looses its nativity. Hence, listen to native speakers as much as possible and try to imitate them.
  • Since, Spanish is a gender based language, you need to be perfect with the article in the language. Though an efficient Spanish speaker do not use articles in speaking but having the knowledge of right usage of articles will help you gain command over the language.
