Small Businesses to Pull US Out of Recession: Signs of the Times National Small Businesses Survey

According to the survey by Signs of the Times national small businesses, 51 percent of the small business owners have recovered or will be recovering by the end of this year from recession. 72 percent of them expect that small businesses will be the driving force behind the economic recovery in United States, in 2010.

As per the survey, many of the small businesses are planning to spend on marketing which would help them to restore their businesses to the levels which they had before recession. 42 percent of them were considering to increase spending on advertising and marketing initiatives in 2010.

44 percent of the small business owners are planning to grow business in 2010. They are expecting to increase communication with existing and potential customers through newsletters and by sending direct mails. 43 percent of them want to implement traditional marketing or advertising tools like brochers. 37 percent of them want to go for Yellow Pages listings. 37 percent of them want to go for flyers and signs or banners or posters. 32 percent of them want to go for newspaper advertisements.
