Types Of Interconnection For Home Automation

The Interconnection of home can be done in three ways which include connection by wire, wireless, By using both wireless and wire.

Connection by Wire: This can be done by using optical fibers, cables and power lines. Cables discussed here are mainly meant for installation in industrial sites as well as in buildings. The power line or the power cable will have the similar functionality but will transmit the electric power using the conductors.

Wireless: Wireless provides a way for easy mobility and convenience. A wireless Home automation uses radio frequency signals instead of wire and cables to transmit the data. Most of the customers are interested to maintain the wireless connection itself in order to avoid the installation and the running of the wires across the home causes great inconvenience. These wireless connections are of two types. They are using the radio frequency signals and even the infra red signals. Some of the radio frequency signals include GPRS, ZIGBEE, UMTS, BLUETOOTH etc and coming to the infra red there are CONSUMER IR.

By both wire and wireless: There are some technologies which is using both the wire and wireless technologies. It helps in maintaining the system free from crash.
