Types of wallpapers for home improvement are:
- Paper Wallpaper: Paper Wallpaper will have a decorative paper layer. They cannot resist humid conditions as they have no protective layer laminating them. So, they should be selected based on requirement.
- Vinyl Coated Wallpaper: This is a paper coated with acrylic vinyl, which makes it easier to clean and moreover it is resistant to humidity and grease. So, it is recommended for wallpapering kitchens or bathrooms.
- Coated Fabric Wallpaper: Coated Fabric wallpaper will have layer of fabric in between paper and liquid vinyl. This helps in designing various depths and styles. It cannot resist humid conditions even though coated with vinyl. So, it is very much suitable for low humidity areas such as living room, dining room, or bedrooms.
- Paper Backed Vinyl / Solid Sheet Vinyl Wallpaper: This kind of wallpaper will have a layer of paper which has a decorative vinyl surface decoration. This wallpaper is resistant to humidity and grease, and works well in any climate as it is coated with vinyl. It can be cleaned easily, and can also be removed quickly when desired.
- Fabric Backed Vinyl Wallpaper: Fabric Backed Vinyl Wallpaper will have a layer of fabric, coated with a solid vinyl layer. As the vinyl used is solid, this is a very durable wallpaper which can be suited in any climate or humidity. This wallpaper cleaned easily and last several years.
